Biography:

Ramesh Harjani (S'87-M'89) received the B.Tech, M. Tech and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering in 1982, 1984, and 1989 from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, India, the Indian Institute of Technology, New Delhi, India and Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh, PA, respectively. He was with Mentor Graphics Corporation, San Jose, CA and worked on CAD tools for analog synthesis and power electronics. He joined the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis in 1990 and is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering. His research interests include analog CAD techniques, low power analog design, disk drive electronics and analog and mixed-signal circuit test.

Dr. Harjani received the National Science Foundation Research Initiation Award in 1991, and a Best Paper Award at the 1987 IEEE/ACM Design Automation Conference.
