General Information
CprE 537X is an advanced course intended for graduate students that have a good background in computer networking and some background in basic communication theory at the undergraduate level. Material includes networking for wireless systems, jamming, spoofing, counterfeiting, and system design for security.
Course Requirements and Grading Policy
Examinations: One midterm exam (30%) and one final exam (30%). The midterm will cover approximately the first half of the semester and the final will cover the remaining material for the semester.
Project and Presentation (40%): Each student will do a project related to communications systems and produce a written research report and give a presentation. Refer to the project web page for details.
Homework (0%): Homework assignments will be made for problems related to the lectures. You can do the homework in study teams. Doing homework will help you do well on the exams. Homework will not be graded but you will have access to the solutions manual to check your answers. Contact your instuructor during office hours for solutions manual access.
