    These are just some suggestions for projects.  You may chose a project of your own to propose.

Frequency Hopping Spread Spectrum (FHSS):  Do research on the history, technology, and implementation of FHSS.

Direct Sequence Spread Spectrum (DSSS):  Do research on the history, technology, and implementation of DSSS.

Theory of Multipath:  Do research on the modeling of multipath signals in a communication system.

Multi-user Interference:  Do research on the modeling of multi-user interference in a communication system.

Synchronization Issues in a Spread Spectrum System:  Do research on how signals are synchronized.

Convolutional Coding for Error Detection and Correction:  Report on the technology for doing this including the famous Viterbi codes.

Mobile Satellite Communications:  What is the current research and technology in the area of satellite communications?

Reed-Solomon Coding Theory:  Prepare a summary research report on RS codes and how they are implemented.

IS-95 CDMA:  Summarize the technology associated with CDMA cellular radiotelephones.

High Definition Television (HDTV):  What are the current technologies and how are they implemented?

Bluetooth Network Technology:  Summarize the physical and MAC layers of Bluetooth.

IEEE 802.11 Technology: Summarize the physical and MAC layers of IEEE 803.11.

Multipath Fading Channels:  Characteristics and current research on systems that overcome multipath fading.

Smart Antenna Technology:  What is the current status of research and deployment of Smart Antennas.

License-free communication bands:  What are the current frequency bands authorized by the FCC as "license free?"  What types of services and waveform modulation are permitted in each band?

Airlink Encryption Technologies:  What technologies are being deployed in airlink encryption and how do they work?

Fading Channels:  What methods and technologies are being proposed to overcome the bad effects of fading?
